How fun can Florida really be? Well, a lot of fun for us. We went to as many places as we could, but still enjoyed the beaches the most. We tried out Disney World for the kids. They loved it. We tried Disney's Animal Kingdom, eh, so-so. We tried Kennedy Space, and now Carston is going to be an astronaut. We spent 2 days at Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral. Loved it! We can't wait to go back. We might even submit our OHIO at the Apollo Center to OSU and see if we get on TV.

Time goes by extremely fast and I realized that I am the only one not "blogging". So here is a picture of Bret and the girls as they went to Meadowview Elementary's Father Daughter dance. My pciture ended up better than the ones at the dance. They all apparently danced til they dropped! Drank a lot of punch and inhaled the snacks. Something they will all remember. March 19, 2010.

I thought a picture of the "old people" might be nice as well. More photos to come. I swear.
Maren has more coordination in her little finger than I do in my whole body. She has never taken dance, but does excel at playing princess with her little sisters and dancing in front of the Christmas tree as if the world was on hold.

Most of our new pictures are on mom's new camera which needs to be downloaded. They just hold soooo many now I never remember to put them on. I also need to remember to take more pictures. Christmas was fun with American Girl dolls and train tables and Webkins. We are entering a whole new world with older girls. The Dude also ads his own mystique. He found my old ski goggles from high school and college and they are now his "mask" or "helmut. I wish I new what language he comes from, because it sure isn't English.

Christmas is always an experience in our home.
We had to convince a few unwilling partcipants into getting a family photo done.
These are the good results. To see the bad ones, you must make a personal request.

Carston Thomas Busacker, Age 2

Sydney Eva Busacker, Age 3
Lydia Claire Busacker, Age 6

Maren Elisabeth Busacker, Age 7

Then all of us caught a passer-by to take this once in a lifetime shot.

Pumpking Carving is a gross ,but favorite tradition in the Busacker home. And, how cute can a scarecrow actually be?
Maren is Dorothy and her best friend Sidney Moore is Tin Man. What a pair.

Halloween 2007

Halloween in Cincinnati is always a TREAT! The leaves turn brilliant colors and you can feel the chill in the air for fall. The kids picked a theme this year -- The Wizard of Oz! Maren was Dorothy, Lydia was Glenda the Good Witch, Sydney was the Lion, and Carston was the unwilling Scarecrow. They had fun trick-or-treating at the ward Halloween Party. They had so much candy, but they still wanted more. We spent Halloween with our friends the Moore's having pizza together and then sending the dad's off with the kids. It was a blast.

We had our first snow last week and found that boys and girls really are different. Carston spent almost 3 hours outside playing the snow, while Sydney spent about 30 minutes and then came in for hot chocolate. Next time I promise to take pictures of the dudedestroying daddy's perfectly sculpted mulch beds in the back yard. I think Maren and Lydia came home from school and each spent about 10 minutes total out in the snow. They came in looking for hot cocoa as well. But, at least they all slept well that night. Maren has also exploded onto the spelling scene with 3 perfect spelling tests in the last three weeks. I think the milkshake bribe is working.
